First feed regurgitated

Hi, bought a ball python which had been feeding well according to the reptile store. First time I fed her an adult mouse she struck within seconds and took it down . A few days later I found it regurgitated. Phoned up the reptile shop where I bought it, they said to leave it a week which I did. Wouldn't take the next mouse, left it another week and still no interest. She seems quite healthy, temp is ok. Can handle her easily. Should I just keep trying every week or at more regular intervals?

How long after you got her was the first offered meal, the one she evacuated? Also, general husbandry info: hot/cool side temps, humidity, hides, etc.

I'd also say avoiding handling her seems a sensible step.

I'm sure you need to leave them a little longer than a week after a regurge due to the stomach acid. The acid needs more time to calm down or she could regurge again (as she didn't feed this isn't a problem). I would also suggest not handling her until she has eaten for you without a regurge.

Do you feed in her enclosure? Just checking you didn't move her. Also did you not handle her for 48 hours after feeding? Handling too soon can also cause a regurge.

What weight is she and what approx weight was the mouse? Sometimes larger prey items can cause regurge's also. If we can eliminate these then other options about why she regurged can be explored. As it has been some time since the regurge you can offer on a weekly basis.

Actually after a regurgitation you should wait two weeks before attempting to feed again, the gut needs time to replenish.
As asked... need to know more about your setup and I really wouldn't handle her til she eats and keeps it down.
What is the age/ weight of her?
