new set up humidity issues

So i got a old school boamaster set up for my little ones and having some trouble with humidity. I have to spray it down least seven times a day. I've tried different ways to keep humidity in. I have a duel hide made out of moss also put moss threw out the tank. Covered front vents sense there are a lot of back vents. Put a dimmer on my rph so its not on full blast to zap humidity. Substrate is reptile bark but might be switching to eco earth so see if there's a difference. Im running out of ideas to keep it at a steady humidity level. I might have to invest in a missing system to keep it at a certain humidity level. Its frustrating. Lol. Any help would be nice. Here are some pixs of the set up.

I switched to paper towels, added moss and added a water bowl. I have one water bowl directly under my ceramic and one near the cool end of my viv. I had severe humidity problems with my viv.

I do mist but usually when they are going into shed, hope the extra water bowl etc helps you out! I just bought a plastic cat bowl (about 4 or 5 inches diameter) and added that, it helped clear up some of the humidity issues with rearranging the viv.

I have my others in tubs and haven't found the humidity issue with the tubs, you tank looks like a lovely set up though so hope you get the humidity sorted!

With moss in the hides the humidity level will be higher in them than in the rest of the cage. I still have a ball in a glass tank and moss in her hides and occasional misting gives her perfect sheds. I would honestly guess your humidity is much higher than you think and your equipment is saying.

I can't really tell from the pics but if the humidity gauge is near a light, rhp, or uth it could be giving you a low reading because the heat is zapping your humidity from that area.

What bothers me is a rheostat on a rhp. Those things can really heat up. Do you use a temp gun to see what the surface temp is under it?

I would definitely give the Eco Earth a try. It saved my sanity with my tank

Yeah i have a temp gun. I use accu rite for the heat and humidity gauge. The .ph i have i think is zapping the humidity on the hear side. The cold side stays where i want it to be. To bad they don't have a humidity gun. Lol. Life made simple lol.
