Broken Furnace, what to do.
So my furnace just broke today and since it's a weekend no one can come fix it for a while, it's mid November in Canada so it's almost freezing (2 degress celsius or 36 degress Fahrenheit) I had 2 heat lamps before but one broke so now I'm left with just the weaker bulb and a heating mat. What should I do to keep Viper (my male ball) warm in the meantime? His hot spot is at 84 at the moment and I'm scared of it dropping as the house gets cooler. Shuould I use the lamp on the cool side and heating mat on warm side to make up for the heat loss? FREAKING OUT! NEED ANSWERS ASAP!

Place the heat mat and lamp on the same side if the hot spot currently generated by the heat mat drops below 82F. If the electricity fails as well then you can use shipping heat packs or place him in a cloth bag and put him under a sweater/jacket you are wearing.

Also, if you do use heat packs of any kind, wrap them in newspaper prior to giving them contact with your snake, this evens out the distribution of the heat.
