    Question about iodine
I have a buddy in the UK whom says they dont have betadine so I suggested iodine. What would be a proper amount of dilution required to soak the snake in? Also, its a little cut on the neck that needs soaking until the vet visit.

Our vet also reccomended iodine if you cant find betadine. Just use a q tip and swab it on the cut gently.

Betadine is simply a brand name for a company that makes many iodine products, the same way people say "Kleenex" when they mean a tissue. It usually refers to the Betadine Surgical Scrub product: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...m?pcatid=25829

Similar products should be available in the UK. Have him try companies that supply products for horses and livestock.

Yeah, betadine and iodine are the same thing. The dilution should be pretty much the same.

They're the same product. Betadine is a slightly diluted version of Iodine. Just dilute either to tea color and you're good to go.
