ball python eats like he is American
so today's feeding day for baron. I he has been feeding pretty easy never a problem with missed feeds. that's the problem...... he has been eating so well I'm concerned hes over eating.

    some background

-got him when he was a hatch-ling from petco (:colbert:yeah yeah, there's no breeders around here)
-he was under 60g when I got him
-he didn't eat for the first 3 weeks I had him
-fed on live for about 4 weeks
-he has been eating f/t every week since with out even a single hesitation
-i have had him 5 months
-he is currently 224 grams(before feed)
-I am now feeding him two mice on Mondays(about 13 grams each or 26 grams total between the 2)

ok so i fed him the first mouse came back fed the second gave him about a half hour to get it settled before transferring back to his tank. well I opened his feed bin and he struck his wheres the mouse pose. As i moved my hand he followed.... I have have yet to get bit and didn't want to have my first today. so... I garbed a clean pair of underwear to hide my heat signature or at least provide a small barraior if he did bite. lucky he did not. im wondering if im underfeeding or is he just a prey hunting mouse destroyer?:snake2::lmao:

hope i gave you all the info you need

As stated above, feed in your snake's normal enclosure. Also I don't think you are overfeeding, when a ball stops taking rodents during feeding then they are full. I have many snakes that will eat multiple rats if offered. 224g before feeding at 5 months old isn't too big, I have some hatchling that were well in the 4-500g range at the same age.

What size pray are u feeding him? I make sure to feed mine a rat the size of the thickest part of his body. Even then he will slam down two of them.

Switch him over to rats if u can. More nutrition in rats there there in mice. It will plump him up faster.
