Could Constant Infrared Lead to Stress?
I know daylight bulbs left on all the time can stress out the snakes, but since IR bulbs are supposed to "not affect" the BP really, is it okay to leave on 24/7 if it keeps the conditions on point?

    Thanks

Idk man. I leave a day light bulb on half the day and the other half a red bulb..he is not even close to stressed.. Hes quiet happy relaxed friendly hungry, sheds great and is always chillin in his hide...heat bulbs are the only way I can keep the heat up in the tank, obviously. Since it's not a rack system..but I am considering getting a couple ceramic heat emmitters for night time.

plus I can't see how a day time bulb will bother them or hurt them, they hide90% of the time and if your bp is out all hours during the day or is not in his hide during the day and is clearly visible there is something wrong

Part of the heat set up for my boy is a lamp with an infrared bulb. I live in Michigan and my house is quite cool, particularly in the winter, so a lamp is really a necessity here. The red bulb doesn't seem to bother him at all.

I cannot remember the literature, but I read that the infared light emitted from such lamps is invisible to reptiles in general...like I said though, cannot remember the literature.

Thanks everyone. Yeah, my guy doesn't seem stressed out at all. Its just day 3 of the new set up and wanted to double check, I remembered seeing the same thing about infrered being "invisible" which is why I went with it. My room gets plenty of natural light, its just always cool- living in VT and all
