I was wondering what bulbs you use for night time viewing, and where you got the bulbs from.

I'm planning to get a Exo Terra Night Glo 15W, I don't really mind if it makes the cool side a bit warmer ... would it?
My cool side is about 76 degrees.

I just use a uv bulb 24/7. No other bulb needed since it casts a nice red glow that provides ample light for night viewing.

Try and get that cool side up to around 80* if you can. I can't really see paying alot for just a light bulb(coming from a po' person's mouth), but whatever you feel like spending is up to you :) PetsMart.com has the 40 watt for $0.99, so that's perty good for a bulb IMO.(Might be a typo, since the others are $3.99) Seems like it would make the enclosure look pretty spiffy and wouldn't interfere with the day/night cycle.

I'm actually using a human heat pad with my rubbermaid, and the heat pad gets temps to 93-95 on the warm side ... but the cool side is like 76, so I thought about using the 15W to warm up the cool side a bit, and give me night time viewing ... the 15W is 99cents ... and its a Terra Night Bulb

    What do you guys think?

I use the night glow lights like they sell at Petco. Looks like a black light when on or the glow of the "moon". Looks really cool for viewing.
I have a large cage w/ belly heat made in and still need a 75 watt on each end to maintain temps, but then again I keep my apt really cold and the cage is by the vent sort of.
But they are great for viewing.

I'll get the night glo at a really low watt like 15W or 20W... I only need the degrees bumped up by 4 ...

Best thing to do would probably just to get it and try it out. Its kinda hard to guess as to what effect the light is going to have on the environment in the cage.
