Should I Feed Extra After Shed?
    Hey everyone,

So my snake unfortunately has a history of being underfed. I don't have a scale yet so I don't know how much he really weighs. However I'd say he's about a foot and a half long, 1 - 1 1/2" in diameter or so. I was feeding him fuzzies for a bit longer than I should have and since he went into shed right when I bought hoppers (2 days before feeding day) he will be going a little over 2 weeks since his last feed once he sheds within the next couple days. He hasn't pooped either since before his last feeding. The fuzzies he was getting before were I believe 5 or 6 grams. The hoppers I got are roughly 8g. Should I try feeding him 2 hoppers after he sheds? Or will that be too much?

Some pictures from the last feed

His prey should be equivalent or slightly fatter then the biggest part of his body. That's how I feed mine. For a few weeks I was under feeding I believe, these Bps can swallow prey bigger than I even thought. I'm feeding my smaller guy hoppers and he is like 65 grams and your snake looks bigger than my baby.

my bigger guy is about 230 grams now and is eating rats the size of large adult mice with no problems.

I believe he'd be able to take two hoppers easy... you can try he may or not take it... leave it up to him. The prey should be equal to or slightly bigger than the widest part of your snake.
Also you do not have to wait until he's out of shed. Offer on your normal feeding day. Some will eat during shed and some will not, but there is no need to withhold food until he's done

How long should I wait before offering the second one? Also, just got really lucky. Went in to check on the little guy and saw he had left his warm hide and was half in his cool hide. Watched him for a minute and sure enough he was shedding :) I didn't think I was going to witness him shedding for a while. Hope it all goes well!

Awesome, mine seem to like to do it overnight lol
Wait until the first one is completely down to the stomach.

I would go ahead and move him to adult mice, but if you are "cleaning out", then yes two hoppers would be fine. When I feed multiple meals I just let one prey item be taken off the tongs then I place the other at the entrance to the hide.

Awesome, thanks guys n gals. I'm going to be switching his substrate to eco earth tomorrow and feed him 2 on Monday to keep with his normal feed routine, as well as to give him time to adjust to the new environment.

Idk why you just don't feed him an appropriate sized prey.. There is no saying he will take both that day. I've tried mine before when trying to get rid of some extra FTs and live hoppers and they wanted nothing to do with a second meal that day.

Mainly because Im a broke college kid who already has 2 FT hoppers. So far my snake hasnt been picky about his food so he'll probably take both considering how underfed he is
