What is the (visual) difference between Albino and Toffino?
So a week ago I bought an "albino" as my first ball python. I have been owning a hognose for a couple months and thought it was time to upgrade. Unfortunately I haven't any pictures of her, Annabel (the bp) because she is still fairly young, July, and every time I take her out she tries to strike at me. Of course, just like any first time snake owner, I'm afraid of being bitten. Any way, she just recently shed and I'm seeing this super bright white outline around the yellow patches which, from a few google searches, is indicative of Toffino. I don't want to ask the breeder because I see that Toffinos are much more expensive than Albino and I don't want to make him feel bad that he sold me a snake that was way under priced and I haven't the money to make it up to him if it is really a Toffino. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow thought and post it just to be sure. The breeder I got it from was selling 2 Toffinos and I got the only "Albino".
So how can I tell the difference between a Toffino and an Albino? Is that white line a determining factor?

I know I wouldn't HAVE to but I'd just feel so guilty. I'm actually really curious now, I'll try to get a couple pics... stand-by

so far I'm seeing albino, the toffinos I've seen are more of the yellow albino starting out. the first thing I notice with my toffino is compared to the same size albinos. their eyes are a much more deeper red, where the albinos are the lighter pink. and the red eye continue as they age. here's a pic of my toffino a little over a year old.

I've seen it in albinos before. I haven't bred albinos in about 2 years. I will this year with the toffino if he's willing. another thing is look at the pattern. I'm no expert, but most of the toffees and toffinos I seen has the pattern like mine. where your albino has a much thinner banding. you will have some with more dots, and I seen a lot more dots in the candinos. these are things that I'm noticing and have a few friends that I need to talk to that 's into the toffee gene a lot more than me. you will know after a few sheds for sure. but I'm thinking albino. good luck don

there's always a chance, hope i'm wrong. and with this gene it's possible. the striking should stop after a while. good luck with her, don
