encouraging sperm plugs

I have the following males in my collection
spider-about 1700g or so
albino-700g
lesser-600g
woma-550g
normal-about 3000g

Nobody is really producing sperm plugs right now except the normal and he's really no good to any of my breeding plans..
just wondering what you guys do to encourage production in these young ones.
The spider has always produced big plugs but not so much right now.

Breeding season is underway and I need these guys to get busy.
What do you guys do to encourage sperm plug production? I saw a video once from Brian at BHB where he put two males together for a while, but can't seem to find it. I don't want to put these little guys in with my huge normal and have anyone end up hurt, I could do the spider though with less worry-but I dont knw how long.
I did get a big plug from the normal and spread it around in the other males tubs but haven't seemed to have any luck.

I would like to pair my lesser and woma with my pastel girl but they've not shown much interest in her...any advise or anyone have a link to that video from BHB?

Put the male you want in with the girl... he will start producing pretty quickly. Leave him in there for a couple of days, take him out and offer food, let him digest, repeat. It sometimes takes younger males a few weeks to kick in, but they will.

Chances are your males are producing sperm plugs you just don't see or find them, and BTW sperm plugs and breeding are two different things, a male can produce plugs and have no interest in breeding so what you are really asking is, how to stimulate breeding behavior.

Putting 2 males together is not something I would recommend, yes it sometimes works however in many cases it will have a negative effect on the least dominant male and said male will not breed for you.

There are pairing tricks that can done in a much safer manner using sheds from another animal, using sperm plug of the male you have and spreading it on the female's back, putting 2 female with one male etc

Most importantly the season is barely starting for many people, they may not start locking right aways just relax and be patient.

And pay attention to the weather when pairing. :gj:

Thanks for the good advice-I guess this happens a lot, me getting impatient I mean lol.
Everyone ate yesterday so I'll probably try wednesday again and see what happens. Thanks for answering the question about the two males, precisely why I didnt want to just toss them together.
