    Concerned about skin
Hi everyone, I have been keeping herps for a few years now and just now got my first ball python from petco about two months ago. He/she is nearly eleven inches long and very friendly. I keep ekans in a 10 gallon glass aquarium with aspen shaving two hides and a water dish with an assortment of climbing plants as well. Temps range from 95 in the day to 85 at night and humidity is consistantly over 50 percent. Now a few things have raised my concerns. The first three weeks were fine, worry free, ate a pinky mouse a week I would handle ekans a few times a week and then about four weeks ago he stopped eating and that has kinda freaked me out but I was informed that they do tend to fast which is fine, but now it seems like he has loose extra skin and he is less shiny; i have a picture of it and im not sure if this is him about to shed or not because his eyes dont dull.

He is most likely going into shed, raise the humidity to 70 until he's done.
Pinkies are too small for any ball python, hatchlings are started on hopper mice or rat pups.... he may have stopped eating because the prey is too small, definitely try a hopper or small adult mouse on the next feeding.

Thanks so much for the help I'll try that. And I will try to feed larger mice as well!
