Gonna get a corn snake (Need Advice)

I have decided to get a corn snake. I just want to have advice on it's care and stuff. I just want to make sure I really know what I am doing.
I'm gonna be getting he/she at the Whiteplains expo on Saturday.

They are pretty easy to care for. Corn snakes are movers though. Mine is constanly exploring so while I did start me hatchling off in a 10 gallon he quickly outgrew it. I would swap those lamps out for a UTH with thermostat, they need belly heat, plus with those lamps the tank will get too warm. Their ambient temp is cooler than what a BP needs. I keep my ambient in the 70s with a hot spot between 85-87. I would also put a background on the back and sides, especially if your getting a baby. I keep mine in a vision cage with Sani-chips for the bedding. Handling is pretty straight forward and they are garbage disposals, I have never had an issue with feeding. The one I currently have does go off feeding while he is in shed, but other than that he eats large mice every 7 days. Looks good the 2 lights are to much though I would keep the smaller one and swap the larger one for a uth. Thats how my 20g long tank is set up. I have a fake tree, 2 hides, and a water bowl and I have him on aspen mulch. A 10g is fine for a baby corn but I quickly moved mine up to a 20g long.

I am doing a day/night thing. Not both at same time. Ya, He/she will be moved up pretty quickly when it outgrows it. I have a BP in a 20 gallon who will be outgrowing it in a few months. Do you know if humidity will ever be a problem? I have done research but there are a lot of mixed opinions?

Humidity is easy for a corn...generally as long as the water dish is full...they do well with the humidity that is in your house. I lightly mist my enclosure once a week...

I have a corn as well. You will probably want some more private hides (those half logs are not dark enough; your snake will most likely spend her days under the substrate like that). I don't think you *need* to cover the sides and back with dark paper - although you can if you'd like, of course. My corn personally doesn't care either way. They also like to climb I find, from my own and other's experiences :P that foliage is a good idea!

The day/night cycle is a good idea too, as long as it doesn't get too hot (as mentioned above). I wouldn't use anything over a 13W bulb myself, especially with that size tank, unless your room temperature is particularly below average. The nice things about corns too is they can handle a night time drop in temperature, as low as 15C (59F) I have heard. However I'd definitely get a UTH with thermostat and set it at 85F though, again as mentioned already.

They are quite active snakes once comfortable in their surroundings, so you should have a blast. Best of luck to you!!

Please, please, PLEASE get some screen locks for that lid! Or at least put some heavy weights/books on every corner for the time being. You'd be surprised how corns can push those things, as thin/weak as they look. They aren't easy to find either! ;)

I've been testing the light temps. The 75W day light does about 80. The 50W Night light goes down to 75.

Are you not using a UTH/thermostat at all? Or you are, but suplimenting with lighting? The belly heat from UTHs are a must for proper digestion - as you will notice in some regurge posts on that other forum.
You really don't need lights with heat at all, in my opinion. It will get too warm for your corn. They aren't like ball pythons; they are from North America and tropical temperatures are too high for them :P I find that mine prefers an ambient air temperature around 73F (but some may differ of course).

I use LEDs for my lighting(cheap to buy/run, last long, a few go a long way). That way I get all the heat needed from a UTH.
