Surprise! New Snake!

My wife and I run into this on a regular basis, haha. Saturday, as we were loading our car with all of our animals and display items for an event, a neighbor of ours in our complex came up to us and asked if we wanted a new snake. He was desperate to rehome it, so we took it. We now have a surprise Amazon Tree Boa that we weren't anticipating, haha. This isn't the first time we have had someone randomly give us a reptile.

Have any of you had something similar happen?

A very nice ATB too! Looks well nourished and healthy. I've got frogs, a leopard gecko, a boa, and lots of unwanted rodents.

Wow, that's awesome! The only thing I've been given was a cold...oh. and once I was given the flu :(

Nice looking surprise!! I've gotten 2 of my ferrets and 2 of my res turtles that way lol

That is a nice surprise. I wish someone would give me a ATB!

We have gotten 4 balls, a bull snake, 5 parakeets, some fish, a rat, and a lizard this way. Apparently, no matter where we live, people are bound to gift us their animals, haha. I'm very happy with this latest addition to our collection. He is a little grumpy, but we are socializing him as best as we can.

That's very cool though; people know they can turn to you when they (or their pets) are in need :)

I've gotten a few Ball Pythons, kittens, a turtle, a Bearded Dragon, a Sugar Glider, and a Chihuahua this way. Nice mix of exotics lol Can't turn them away!

Never had that happen to me - I'm not that lucky! Only this close is that I am presently watching my best friends lesser platinum male for a couple of years until he gets home from the deployment that he is supposed to be going on next year. I do get to breed him while I have him, though!
