Snakes Meeting

Hey,

This is an odd question (maybe).
I have seen people taking photos of their ball pythons in groups, and I was wondering about other species of snakes "meeting". The reason I ask, is I want to eventually take a photo of me holding both my ball python and my corn snake together, but I'm not sure how this would go.

Do you think this is a bad idea? Keeping in mind that months will have gone by (ie. out of the isolating period) and they will be housed in the same room, in their respective tanks.

I don't know exactly what I am worried about... maybe one of them harming the other? I know my ball would be much larger than my corn, although she will be longer (and feistier).

If anyone has an suggestions, opinions, or experience with something like this, please feel free to comment. :)

I see no issue with that. The only time I could see it being an issue would be with a king snake, or other snakes that eat snakes. Corns don't eat snakes...so I see nothing to worry about

I've never heard of problems arising beyond king snakes and woma pythons. Considering they're nut-brained and solitary, they practically ignore the other's existence.

Erm, not to argue (because I personally don't have experience with this), I'm also on a corn snake forum, and have heard many times... and sadly have also seen awful photos... of a corn eating another corn :( probably rare though!
Then again, if my corn COULD eat my ball python, I'd just be impressed. I mean, the BP is a baby, and already 50 grams heavier than my corn! HAH! That wouldn't ever ever happen.

That happened after communal housing and can happen in hatch boxes too if you don't get to them fast enough. (Or so I've heard...)
Any colubrids attacking each other, although probably rare for corns, during handling can easily just be pried off one another. Shoot, things like that happen with breeding kingsnakes! It isn't like they're 18 foot cannibalistic retics... Man, imagine how much fun that'd be though. :P
