    Using fleece?
Has anyone used fleece? I mean it can keep them warm and easy to wash and reuse. I have a 10 tub rack freedom breeder and its really cold at night. I covered the whole thing with space blanket. I can't imagine any danger to the pythons or can I be wrong? What do you guys think??

Do you mean use fleece as hides in the bin or to wrap the rack?? How cold does it get in the room? Maybe a space heater in the room where they are so it doesn't get too cold. What is the ambient temperature dropping too in the room and rack? How much of a difference has the space blanket made?

Fleece does not create heat so you're problem isn't solved.
Fleece could easily get caught in the snakes mouth when feeding.
I can see lots of issues with it.

Your main concern should be maintaining the rooms ambient temperature above 75 or you may end up with sick snakes.

Fleece only works as a warming agent when the animal can produce its own heat. Wouldn't be effective as a substrate, and you're risking impaction if ingested.

I have two tubs and a tank on a deep bookcase (a temporary measure while I work on a custom enclosure) and when the room gets cold I throw a fleece blanket over it. It seems to do a good job of keeping the ambient temps up, though I haven't tried other fabrics to see if it makes a difference. I live in a basement studio where space heaters are remarkably ineffective, so its proven to be a good short-term fix.

I get using fleece as it is a good material to keep heat in. The heat mat putting heat into the tank will act as the animal so it should work I used to use an electric blanket (not turned on) it did wonders Even though I was freezing jazz was toasty.
