    Leopard gecko morph ID please
Hey guys it's been a while since I've been on the forums but I've got something to write about.

So a routine trip to the local petco ended in me getting a new female leopard gecko. She just stuck out, and for good reason. Pretty sure she's a super hypo tangerine carrot tail. Interesting though are her feet. Just her feet and fingers are peppered with black spots. I've never seen this before.
I don't mind her having a regrown tail, in my opinion gives her character and a story poor little thing. She seems healthy, good looking, not thin, and is very alert. Doesn't mind being held.
The icing on the cake was that leopard geckos were on sale for $14.99. What a deal!

Let me know what you guys think! click on the photos for a larger preview.

I would agree to SHTCT, though she's dark for lack of proper heat. Warm her up, and she'll glow more. :)

Yeah the photos are when I just got her home still in her box. I suppose I could take new photos, she really is a wonderful color.
Any input on ever seeing a SHTCT with spots on their feet? that's what I'm interested in.

It could be necrosis, from having shed stuck on her toes and cutting off circulation. I've never personally seen it though.

I'm tempted to say necrosis as well, honestly. The angle of her toes isn't quite right. Although if she was ever kept on black sand that could do it too, had a girl turn blue from blue vitasand once.

Does she seem to have any type of feeling in her toes, positive or negative reactions? ( ie pain reflex, no Leo's gonna be thrilled about having their toes touched...)

What? no, no, not even close to necrosis.
Her toes are fine, she is healthy and normal. she was in the box for the pictures, she couldn't grip the box well maybe that's what you guys are seeing in "the angle of the toes isnt quite right".
It is just her pattern coloring.

Leopard geckos shouldn't even be on vitasand in the first place IMO. gecko feet getting died a color and actually having a pattern such as mine is so different.
    I can't believe I got that response.

Maybe click on the photo so detail can be seen, there's no way someone could say it's necrosis. Doesn't help that these are camera phone photos. I'll have to take some with my actual camera. But still.

Please try not to post asking for opinions and then reject the opinions you get.

It doesn't seem impossible that it could be her pattern. Theres a whole morph based on the fact that the feet and legs have no spots. So you could be right.

When she sheds out again, see if her toes begin losing the pattern or gaining it.

I'm not trying to be mean, but necrosis is not it.

If anyone has any input on a SHTCT having speckled feet then let me know.

Trust me, the vitasand was not my choice, but my ex's husbandry decisions aside, best of luck with your girl, and I hope she's OK.
