Possible leather back at Petco?

I noticed a couple of these beardies at my local Petco and they just don't look normal. The animals in questions are just missing most of their spiky scales, and have a nice pattern on their backs. I managed to snap a photo with my camera phone. Let me know if the one on the left looks like a leather back to anyone. I'm not at all avid in bearded dragon morphs so let me know what you think!

The smooth washed pattern of the one on the left honestly looks like a leather-back in the photo. You should have asked to hold it to find out.

Yeah there are two available at that store. But since these are the "larger" bearded dragons they have them priced at $149.99. That's crazy expensive for a 4-5 inch juvey. I'm not sure what the price is for leather backs though I guess.

Like i said I'm no expert in bearded dragon morphs so a picture really is the best way to prove it out. holding it might have gotten a better photo. :) Maybe i can go back tomorrow.

Not sure I know my local petco has some beardies labeled as pastel bearded dragons they look like the ones you posted a pic of there priced at $79.99

If you are able to click on the image and it will take you to my flickr then view a larger size, you can clearly see the difference between the lack of spike scales on the one on the left.

So heres the question then. Is $150.00 a fair price for a leather back or is even that too high? Not saying I need a beardie but I'm curious .

just be careful if you get one there. We got one there and it was loaded with internal parasites. If you do get one, plan on taking a fecal sample to the vet to ensure its all good.

Waaaay too high. Weve had leatherbacks for $65 at my work.
