    New Enchi
    I got this little guy yesterday. He seems to be in shed so the pics are not very good. Was told he was an enchi. what do you guys think?

    Maybe not a jaw-dropping Enchi, but an Enchi all the same. And I agree with Derek, wait until he sheds and post new pictures to this thread, most people will think it's two different snakes.:P

    It's got a nice reduced pattern with characteristic banding over it's dorsal. You can also see the color creeping up it's sides. I think it will be much more obvious after it has shed.

    Enchi is a color and pattern morph. The banding which crosses over the back on both sides is one key. Other morphs and even normals can have some banding, but usually not nearly as much as an Enchi will. Second is the coloring. Even a banded normal won't have the same colors as an Enchi. Most have deep black and golden markings. A few of the best have dark reddish coloring and burnt orange bands, and are stunning. The bands are clearly defind and sharp, like they were drawn on. The best Enchi's also have few to no spots in the bands, the bands will be solid.

    Post shed pics from today :D he is also poss het ghost and i know that ghost sheds usually come out clear. his shed didn't have much black on it does that mean anything?
