Opinion on this bee girl?

I'm looking to purchase this girl locally but I need opinions on her first...

There isn't great lighting in these pics, but it looks to me like she may have the grey going down her spine. A tell-tale sign of a future browned-out bee.

She's pretty hot. I like the way the pattern fades on her head and tail. And she'll probably brown out a bit, like 99.999999999% of the Bees out there. If she's a good eater at a good price I'd pick her up...

umm, i always search for that line that seperates the light yellow from the darker yellow, because when they brown out they do so above that line.

there just was another thread where you can see it quite clearly: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...-Quality-snake in the other thread, do you notice how close to the spine that seperation line is? so the area where browning out can happen is very small in that other snake. thats what you need to look for.


but this bee, well, in the second picture you dont see where that line is at all, but i think i see in the first picture that the line is very low on the sides. so when this bee decides to brown out, two thirds of it will get brown, it goes quite far down the sides. so it doesnt seem to be a good bee, i would pass. i mean it would be a very nice pet, but for breeding purposes i would look for something better, more like the one in the thread i linked above.

see the difference? thats a bee where the area that could later brown out is really small, you can see that the pastel in it is really high quality.

oh wow, i guess it was the perspective in the first pictures, i need to revise my opinion a little, the line is not as far down as the first pictures had me believe. not too bad, ive seen ones where the line was much lower. the line is actually high enough to keep like half of the sides from browning out. the picture is really much better. i expected the boundary to be somewhere in the lower third of the BP, its better than i thought.

now i say you could get it if the price is right, or you could look for a better one, its still not top of the line but i would no longer consider it a no-go.

Can you get pics in better light?

Yes, that line may brown out but it also depends on the kind of yellow the bee is... and that's the problem because the pic doesn't really show it.

For example, my bee has that wide strip of gray on the back. So I fully expected him to brown out in that area. His sister has a very narrow one. So I considered her of better quality, so I sold her to a breeder who can make better bees out of her and I kept the not so quality one, or so I thought. But... years later, he is still as stunning as he was as a baby. The line is still gray, not brown and his yellow is still bright.

So, in my opinion, if you got a bright yellow and not an orangey yellow on that bee you got a good bee.

Here's the gray that I'm talking about:

I think what keeps this bee a stunning bee is the quality of the yellow in a reduced spider pattern.
