Female too big for male??
Newbe question: Can a female be too big for the male? I know the mating part will work, but has anyone had a male get injured from the female laying on top of him while they were together? I have a 550gm spider male mating for the first time with a virgin 2000gm female and she was laying on top of the male. His poor little body was squished under the famales and turned on its side with his belly streatched out and exposed. It looked uncomfortable, but I didn't want to disturb them so I left them alone. I know this sounds like a stupid question, but some of these females can be pretty big and the males can breed when they are rather small.

All you saw was her giving him a firm NO. :colbert:
LOL I guess she was tired of him. They had been tail-surfing for two days!!
This morning they were in separate corners in the back of the tub. The male had relieved himself towards the front of the container. I guess she squeezed the grap out of him.
The pile was so big, I was sure the pile belonged to the female, but she didn't loose any weight from the last time I weighed her (2 days ago). The male, however, weighed considerably less. I record their weight every time they poo. I just enjoy seeing how they've grown.
