    Switching off live feedings
My girlfriend has a coworker who is getting rid of her BP. The snake is 2 year old, and has only been fed live.

If I take the snake in, I do not want to continue feeding it live prey. How hard is it to switch a BP from live prey, to F/T prey?

At that age it will be more difficult than switching a baby over, but it can be done.
Have patience and stick with it.
Then again it might take right away.
    good luck.

It is possible then? If I cannot switch it to F/T, I truly do not want the snake. I would rather she find it a home with someone who is fine with feeding live.

What are some tricks that can be used to switch it to F/T feedings?

Its possible. If the snake is a really strong aggressive feeder, then feeding f/t will probably be no problem. A more picky eater might prove to be difficult to switch.

And sometimes, a bp will never switch.

Ask your coworker to try offering some f/t prey.

If I take the snake in, I might hit you up for more advice. All I have right now is Corn Snakes, and I know BP's can be much more finicky about feeding.

I would have her try before you get it, it might be easier in the environment it's used to.

Then I advise don't take the snake, cause if it don't make a switch, then what are you going to do?? Give it to the wrong person or jussive it away or not feed it.. Apparently you are not ready to own a snake or prepared. I say you pass all together. I'm just being honest here. Feeding live is sometimes an only option.
