    Hello from Utah
Hello everyone I'm new here. I recently purchased a ball python for my 10 year old son who has Asperger's syndrome and suffers from anxiety attacks as a result. He had been asking for a pet snake for some time and I thought perhaps it would help with his anxiety and the problems he was experiencing at school. We bought Steven back in August from a local pet store. Since then my son's anxiety attacks have all but ceased and his performance at school has vastly improved. Information in these forums have been invaluable in helping us provide proper care for Steven so thank you everyone.

That's awesome. You think it's definitely related to him getting the snake?

Yes. 100% certain. He loves that snake and has put his energy into learning about it and caring for it. It's done wonders!

Do we have a future breeder on our hands? If he's like the rest of us here, he'll probably be asking for another snake soon. Like potato chips, you can't have just one. :D

You have a couple future breeders on your hands. Together, along with my other two kids (mom's not too interested), we've caught the bug and have since purchased five more snakes which we hope to breed in the near future. They are a male fire, female fire, female pastel, female bumblebee, and female butter pastel.
