New pair are agitated

My new arrivals are very agitated in their enclosures. They're incredibly active (which seems odd to me) and are determined to find ways out of their tubs. Usually my new guys hide away for several days and it's usually my time to leave them be. Temps and humidity are good to go. Any thoughts? Could they be hungry already? I usually wait several days before trying to feed new arrivals. Should I just go ahead and try anyways? Thoughts?

When did you get them? When did they last eat?

They just came in yesterday. Looks like they both ate on Saturday, so I guess it's not a stretch to say they are hungry. Traditionally, like I said, I've always erred on the side of caution and waited for a few days after they've settled in so as not to stress them.

I'm going to assume you are neither roasting nor freezing them, so I say feed 'em. It won't hurt anything. I feed all new arrivals on whatever day feeding day is here, unless they were literally just unpacked.

I think getting fed could ease anxiety over being in a new place. But I've never had any reptiles go into hiding for days after arrival either. You put something in an enclosed box, it's natural instinct is to find a way out.

I'm actually really surprised to hear that. Most of the reptiles I've received through shipment tend to lay low for a few days before they start peeking around. I guess I finally got some different ones! I'm gonna give it a go with feeding them tonight and hope it goes well. Thanks all!
