On the thirteenth, one of our Chihuahuas somehow managed to get out of the fenced yard they are in. There was some shooting (when our neighbor realized his shooting made her run away he was shocked and has been out helping look for her for the last two days) and we believe she squeezed out by the gate. We didn't get back from vacation until the fourteenth, though, at around 9 pm. We've spent the entire day knocking on doors and handing out business cards of her and hanging up posters... We're hoping someone picked her up and we'll get a call in the next couple days, but in the meantime my little sister is completely heartbroken because it was her dog that got out.

Here's the link to the post my mom made of it on Facebook:

I'm so sorry. :( I shared on my fb. I have a friend who lives in Oregon, so hopefully she'll share it with her friends.

Thanks Anya. The more eyes out there the better.

Small update. Had someone contact us thinking they saw her go down someone's driveway. When my mom went to talk to them (the people down the driveway she went), she said they seemed a little suspicious, like they were more interested in getting them to leave (I wasn't with them so that is second hand information). He said they might have seen his girlfriend's Weiner dog, but upon showing the person who called it in a picture she said that was definitely the dog she saw. We're thinking they may have her and want to keep her because he had younger kids... Since only my little sister and mom went up, we're thinking of have my dad and I go separate times to bring up the dog just to see if we get the same answers as before. We are in no way certain he has her, but he has been the only one so far that has shown no sympathy or interest in helping us find her, which just seems a little off.

Aww I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully, if they have it, their conscience kicks in and they return it to you. Best of luck in the search! I'll keep her in my thoughts.

Thanks. We're just thinking for the moment that if he does have her at least she is in a warm home and not out on the streets.
