    just curious, would you feed a "hot" frozen or live prey ?? i know it seems like a stupid queston but would the venom matter ??

    I would be careful to feed any snake live prey, venomous or not. I wouldnt see why venomous snakes wouldnt take at least pre-killed prey. I'm only guessing at that one since i've never kept venomous. Either way, i dont think i would be in there with short hemostats wiggling the prey around. Studies have shown that venom may help in digestion. Some may disagree with that, but IMO ... if the snake evolved with venom, it probably needs it for more than just killing of prey. Just my $.02, seems to make sense to me tho, but i've never kept hots either.
