    Acurite temp/humidity device
I currently have an analog humidity device. I heard the accuracy of analog devices can vary quite a bit.

I was thinking of getting a couple Acurite temp/humidity devices.

Has anyone used these? Are they accurate?

I use this http://www.walmart.com/ip/Acu-Rite-Indoor-Outdoor-Thermometer/896347 myself so I only need one to monitor the hot and cool side

I agree with Holtgards. The one from Walmart he mentioned works good. I use them in all my enclosures. It has indoor/outdoor temp so I put the unit on the cool side and the probe on the hot side. Plus it measures humidity accurately. Just be careful of the adhesive pad on the remote probe. I remove the entire pad so I do not have to worry about it accidentally getting stuck to one of my snakes.

They are battery powered. A single AA or AAA I don't remember which.

I use the one mentioned by OP and it's only off by -4% so I trust it pretty well. :)

2 AA batteries in each. This is their 30ish dollar model. Also has a battery strength indicator and the current rising/lowering trend of each value.
