computer question

my computer is full of spyware. i get popups up the yingyang without even going anywhere. any idea how to get rid of it? i already deleted the program where i got it from.

go to http://webroot.com/ and download the free version of 'Spy Sweeper', it's a great little program designed to get rid of spyware...OR you can type 'free spy ware downloads' or something similiar into a search engine as there's plenty of free programs....hope this helps!

I would suggest Ad-Aware , http://www.lavasoftusa.com/default.shtml.en . In my opinion its the best.

I also use Ad-Aware, but I use Spy Sweeper more often...both are good though.

For pop-ups, you can go to google.com and then go to About Google, then to Google Services and Tools, get the Google Toolbar. I have it and it eliminated about 99% of pop-ups. Ad-Aware is great too.

I use ad-aware as well. I really like it. I never have any pop ups as long as I am spyware free. If I start getting lots of pop ups then I know it is time to run the ad-aware.

You need a combination of several programs....
Adaware from Lavasoft for the ad ware programs
hijackthis to kill the browser "hi-jackers" and registry entries
bazooka to kill additional ad ware and spyware.

Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy ... the winning team!
