I am on a 3 on 3 off schedule so I was curious when is the best times to try and feed?

Re: Feeding during breeding season
I use a 3 on, 4 off schedule. Once I remove the male, I give him a day off then feed. That gives him about 2-3 days to digest before he goes in with the next girl.

3 in 7 out maybe, but there's no reason to need to pair so often.
I offer the day after separating.
I agree with jerry that you're pairing them too much. if my females gets one good lock a month I'm happy with that and over the years had very good results with it. one reason why we take the male out, isn't just to give him a break. but so he also doesn't lose interest in her. doesn't hurt to breed her more than once a month. but 3 in 3 out is more for breeding a male to several females. good luck with the breeding this year. don

I have an experience of exactly ONE breeding.
This is what I found out. The male fasted during breeding season. He fasted for 2 months! We continue to offer every week. The female continued to eat. We fed every week. She ate every single week even after she had her eggs (we did maternal incubation). She would have the tail half of her body coiling around the eggs and she'd go strike at the rat/coil/eat with the other half. Quite a sight to see.
