Partner for a Male Champagne Pastel
    Good morning all,

I was hoping for a little insight as I have begun considering my first breeding project. I currently have a male Champagne Pastel who's still very young, hatched in July I believe. I would like to get lady to pair him with down the road and have a few in mind that I am considering. I'd prefer to by the female as a hatchilin and raise it rather than buy a ready to go female when he gets bigger. The morphs that have my attention so far are Yellow Belly, Fire, Enchi and Spotnose.

I was hoping for some community feedback on what you think of my selections above and any suggestions you could make that might make me reconsider my choices are very welcome!

enchi; enchi leads to patterned champagnes that are really pretty.

its the only morph i know that reliably leads to patterned champagnes.

i just looked up a bunch of combos.

champagne enchi, champagne super enchi, and also combos like champagne enchi fire have a nice pattern.

but the one pastel enchi champagne i found on WOBP is again patternless. now with the variety in this morph i dont know if this is always the case. thats a question for the experts.

so maybe a female with enchi but without pastel would actually be better. like enchi fire or single-gene enchi.

maybe with enchi, if the pattern is visible, you can then add a pattern morph? spider is out of the question because you cannot combine two wobble-genes, but what about pinstripe? pinstripe enchi champagne has never been done or at least i could not find it, so that could lead to a world first and maybe to completely new optics.

Thanks for the tips so far guys. If the spider gene is problematic for Champagne does that mean a Bumblebee would be a bad pairing? A friend of mine has a bumblebee and asked if I'd consider letting them lock up when ready, and I was hesitant to answer knowing about the spider issue.

yes, spider has a wobble and champagne has a less dramatic wobble but still has one.

so the spider champagne is basically a super wobbler. They sometimes hatch but have a severe wobble and do not live very long; its a lethal combination. Spider x champagne is really bad news, i would avoid it at all costs.

Champagnes are awesome, but they tend to overpower everything else.
