heat pad?

    Is a heat pad necessary or would just a heat lamp work? If the heat pad is necessary does it have to cover the length of the cage or just the warmer side? If the heat pad is necessary can you recommend some easy to find human heat pads. Any help is greatly appreciated. :D

    A heat pad probably isn't necessary but it provides belly heat which is key to successful digestion for bp's. Just put the heat pad under the side you want to have warm. Doing so will make a temperature gradient from the warm side to the cool side.

    We have 2 of those, work great! Just an FYI...I've heard though that sometimes the low and high settings can be reversed, but I tested ours and they are correct.

    Yeah - picking up a couple more of those tonight - so far I've run across 2 that were reverse wired.

    Walmart owns. I don't know if mines reverse wired ... I only set it on low so far ... >.< So I'll try high and see whats up tonight.

    I'm surprised they haven't recalled them if some are reversed wired. Although I guess it isn't serious enough. 8)
