The PA Renfaire is pretty awesome. This will be my third trip of the season. I've only heard a little about the Maryland one, when/where is it held? I wish there were a local one in the spring so I could get my renfest fix twice a year instead of cramming it all in to the fall x.x

Maryland renfest: http://www.rennfest.com/
Website says Crownsville, MD which is down near Annapolis. It's not open as long as the PArenfaire and looks like it doesn't have as much IMO. :shrugs:

I haven't been to the one over there since I was around 10 so its been awhile. My Dad lives really close to it and it was awesome from what I remember. They have one over here in Pittsburgh, its hosted up in West Newton I haven't been to that one yet, but I heard its pretty fun and a good size event.

They look to be about equal. They both have a lot of shows during the season, and lots of vendors. PA has 35 acres. MD has 25 faire acres and an 85 acre parking lot. PA has it's own winery and brewery. MD is sponsored by Sam Adams and a Maryland winery. They both have attendance over 250,000. PA has more shows per day and four more stages, but MD has more food stands and vendors.
MD is listed as the second biggest faire, after Minnesota. Texas is much bigger but it's technically a theme park. Maryland and Pennsylvania are both really big on the national scale though.
Also, jousting is Maryland's state sport.
I'd love to go to other ones though; see the other shows around. I can only watch Puke and Snot so many times.
