Ball Python Sick or Still in Shed?

My ball python is a few months old and has been perfectly fine up until about a week ago. A week ago he stared staying in his hide on the warm side of the tank all day and all night. I noticed about 5 days ago that his eyes were bluish cloudy color, which I know is what happens when they go into shed, and his skin color was also dull. His belly was NOT pink in color which is another sign of shedding. 2 days ago, I noticed that his eyes cleared up and his skin went back to normal. He didn't shed. Today he still hasn't left the hide and hasn't shed. Is he sick or is this still part of the shedding process? I haven't fed him for 10 days as he has not been active.

He'll most likely shed in the next day or so. And you can try feeding while they're in "blue"...some will eat and others won't...

Ive got a young Female shedding for her second time and not doing a great job at it. Its really flaky. Ive raised her humidity up and been misting her daily hoping it will help. Give it a few days and hopefully he will shed for you.

Here's some more info. I have had him for about a month and he hasn't shed since I've had him. He's about 2 feet long when he stretched out. I have been keeping the humidity around 70% the last week and the temp of the hot side is about 89*F.

I agree, he'll probably shed in a day or so. Just keep misting.

My guy got real dull and pale looking and hid for 3-4 days,I came home tonight expecting and hoping for a shed,to find nothing,look in my tank 10 mins later and he's shedding and it all came off in one piece,so pround of my boy....feeding him round midnight...he's probably shedding. Don't stress it man.

my only advice is keep the tank constantly moist and high in humidity,that's what I did.. Kept temps around 86-90 and humidity atleast 70 as often as I can

My first ball python had his first shed with me a few weeks ago. It is kinda weird. But, a day or two before they shed they look normal. My BP stayed in his hide the whole week of his shedding cycle

How long is the avg shed? My guy started Thursday and ended today,5 days about..I hear some people say 10-14 days...
