    I severely doubt they spend "billions and billions on control response"... And really, pythons have established themselves "throughout the region"... pretty sure southernmost Florida isn't that widespread.. I haven't heard of really any other place escaped or released snakes have thrived. Even here in south MS, we have cold snaps (which aren't even truly cold) that would kill an escaped constrictor...
