How often do you feed young ball?

just wanted to know how often you guys feed your ball that are under 500g?

I feed my 2012 female balls once a week, but i'm not sure if she will be at breeding size next year.
should i feed her once every 5 days?

no, it is not.

I feed ball pythons under 500g every 4-5 days. Once they hit 500g, they get bumped to a 7 day schedule depending on the snake.

What is considered to be power feeding? How often and how much as opposed to the size of the snake.

If the snake is fed into a sausage shape, you're over feeding.

Hatched - 300 grams I feed every 3 days.
300 - 800 grams I feed every 5 days.
800 - 1500 grams I feed every 7 days.

Females continue to get fed every 7 days for the rest of their lives ;) - males get dropped to a 10 day.

Anything bigger than 15% of their body weight.

When I am feeding my hatchling - 300 grams I feed 10% every 3 days.
300 - 800 grams 10-15% every 5 days and
800 - 1500+ gets fed at 15%.

If you're feeding at > 15%, especially if you're feeding every 5 days or less than I would consider that power feeding.

I feed my hatchlings every 3-5 days. Once they gain a few hundred grams, i offer every 5-7 days. After that, just every 7 days.
