So I've been having trouble getting my Pinstripe to eat for the last few weeks (She's on F/T mice, btw) and figured when she was more interested in getting out of her tub than eating that she wouldn't eat for me again. Like always, I left the rodents in her tub overnight, and to my surprise this morning found not only the mouse, but the rat gone as well! And this was her first rat (second time offering one, but the last time I offered she was quite a bit smaller and it was a good deal larger than her previous F/T prey items. She was also still in the tank at that time)! She's made me proud mama, and such a nice gift for her to give me on the morning we're leaving to Hawaii for 10 days!

Thanks. You've probably tried this, but I found that swinging the mouse back and forth helped make her believe it was still alive. When she didn't strike I'd just leave it overnight and she'd eat while I was asleep most of the time. If not, I just threw them out in the morning.

/sigh Spoke too soon. She didn't eat them, just buried them under her substrate... :rage:
