[DUW: forgot to put it in title, sorry!]

Last night I decided to go to ACMoore and get stuff to decorate my critters' tanks. The end result looks great!

    Before:

That particular picture is VERY outdated, but you get the gist. Very blah, very open, not much going on.

    After:

And one of him testing out his new environment:

He's entering deep shed, so the substrate is really helping to boost his humidity. He might have had a little burn on his belly, but so far, it looks like I just miscalculated his next shed date and he will be perfectly fine in a couple days. :)

Look pretty good! The only thing I see right away that may need changed are the hides. They look big for him. They should be pretty snug (and identical if you have two).

The hides will probably get overhauled next paycheck-- or rather, the one hide will. I'll be taking out the cool side (yellow) because he never ever sits on the cool side for long. It's more his cruising spot. I'm looking at getting him one of these next week, and a little tuft of sphagnum moss to make him feel secure. That'll sit wherever his hot spot is, right now it's pretty close to the left front corner but I may move it slightly more central and back, because his cool side needs to go up by a just a few degrees too.

That was just a Petco find, funnily enough! ProTip: I find that they have more fun decorations in the aquarium aisles than they do for reptiles. Just safety-proof them and they make some neat additions!
