Too high of humidity bad?

So I'm having troubles with humidity, it's too high in 80% most of the time... can this be an issue in the long run? I'm getting different water dishes soon so don't want to drill to many holes and then have too low, just curios if this is a bad thing and does it need to be fixes ASAP?

Too high of humidity can cause RI so yes it's bad. I would fix it ASAP, but you may be able to prolong it a few days. To me anything over 75% is high for a BP. If you put more holes to lower it to 60ish then you can keep your water bowl and just mist when you need higher humidity. Everybody has different humidity levels they like though, and for me I like around mid 60's.

I had humidity issues when I was still using wooden racks and I was forced into drilling holes in the tubs .. it took a few weeks for the humidity to stabilize for whatever reason .. before that it was 80% no matter how many holes I drilled, I know it makes no sense but that's how it was .. what I have gather from my years of experience though is that humidty level makes no difference whatsoever to a ball python .. even when I had 80% humidity for months I got no RIs or other sicknesses .. the humidity alone will not cause the RI, the bacteria does - mold, bacteria gathering in the condensation etc. and there is a higher chance of that happening with high humidity

Truth is most RI's are caused by low airflow, low humidity and low temps.

That said yes if it's too high it's not good either.
Too high usually means not enough air flow, you need air flow.

Humidity about 60% + or - 10% is perfect

We have 7 holes and drilling more today, I'm having the same issue I'm drilling more holes and humidity is really high, it's building condensation up on the side... Ill be drilling probably another 5 holes in ea bin today to see if it makes a difference. How do I get more air flow in there either then holes? I open the bins once to twice a day checking on everyone.

That was my understanding as well...

I had a similar issue, try experimenting with different types of substrates. For example Reptibark holds more humidity than aspen and newspaper even less. In my situation, I placed an occelating fan in the room and it solved the problem.
