    Incubator question....
During the summer I went away and the person watching my house left in the morning and forgot to turn on the air conditioner. So when I got home the house was hot and my incubator went up to 98%..was there any thing I could have done.. Just wondering so it doesn't happen again...lost 3 eggs...

This is overlooked a lot but a quick fix to this is a Timer.

You can pick one up for 7 bucks at Walmart and you can control when it kicks on and off. I would set it around 11am-5pm those are around the times it starts to pick up in heat.

I think the timer is intended for the a/c unit.

If it is a small or a med window ac, set on low, a ranco thermostat might do it. I use 1 in my rat room, it runs the heat in the winter, and ac in the summer.....most all ac's have a built in thermostat..
