    Breeding question
Hello. I'm pretty confused on how the breeding %'s work. If I were to breed a male mojave %50 ph Piebald to a Mojave female, what would I get? Would I possibly get some Piebalds or would they all be a % ph piebald instead? I would also assume I would have normal chance for normals, Mojaves, and Super Mojaves.

The percentage is the possibility that the snake carrys the pied gene. With recessive genes like Pied both mother and father have to posses the gene to pass along to the child.

When breeding a Het Pied to a Normal your results are as follows
    Percent Fraction Morph
    50% 1/2 Normal
    50% 1/2 Het. Piebald

Since a Het pied and a normal look the same you cannot tell the Het from normal unless you prove them through breeding. When breeding Normal to Het. half of the clutch is Het and half Normal. So at that point they are all 50% Het. They are 50/50 odds that any of the snakes in the clutch are Het for Pied.

You will only get the below results if the Het is proven 100%.

If you breed a Mojave Het Pied Male to a Mojave Female the results are as follows.
    Percent Fraction Morph
    12.5% 1/8 Normal
    25% 2/8 Mojave
    12.5% 1/8 Het. Piebald
    25% 2/8 Mojave Het. Piebald
    12.5% 1/8 Super Mojave
12.5% 1/8 Super Mojave Het. Piebald

If you notice in my signature I have Death and Dream listed as PH Pied because they come from a clutch that had normals, hets, pastels, pastel hets. So untill I prove them out they are Possible Het Pied (P.H.)

    Does that help at all?
