Quality check: breeder male pastel, het ghost

I know nothing about nothing about what checks as a "good" adult pastel, I picked him up first based on genetics from FireStorm Reptiles and then I was like "wait. maybe shoulda thought that out first."

How does he look? He's roundabout 970g empty. Sorry if the pics are a bit blurred, he doesn't sit still for anything

Love his bright yellows at 970g! Looking good to me, but I'm no expert on pastels, so hopefully someone with a better eye can vouch for him.

Okay here are some better. I swear I have NEVER had an animal this hard to photograph, he's like the energizer bunny, doesn't stop moving... Matter of fact, might just name him Rabbit. :P Hope he's good, he's a sweetie.

For a pastel he looks pretty good for a sub adult. It's difficult to find an animal that size that holds that much yellow, and his blushing is good so I imagine he was a pretty nice looking hatchling. And let's face it, when you are looking at breeding stock, it's all about how the hatchlings are going to come out. People don't generally sell the animals produce when they are adults, so the better they look as babies, the greater the value will be attached to them.

I think he looks pretty good, nice yellows and strong blushing.

This is my 1300g pastel. I feel she is a pretty good quality standard for a pastel.

Produced by Ken McAlexander at ball python investments.
