How Often Should I bath my BP and how?

Im just wondring how often you should bath your BP and how should u do i feel it up then put my BP in it?? will it attack me? :?: :?: :?:

u wont need to soak your ball unless it has a bad shed and cant get it off itself, or if its dehydrated, or for parasites. if i remember correct, you said your ball was in shed. you should not be handling it during this time, and should have your humidity 65-80% if youdo have to soak your ball, get a bowl of tepid (room temp water) and place your ball in there. then, if its for a bad shed, try letting it slither through a dry towel. just should peel the old shed gently away. make sure there are no retained eyecaps

If your humidity levels are proper then you shouldn't need to bath your bp. Some do while it's in shed, I have a couple times at first, but not religiously. If you feel like giving your snake a little shed time soak, wait until the eyes clear and let him soak for 15 minutes or so. Make sure you rinse out the tub really good so there's no residue from cleaning products or soap. I think it's best to use a thermometer to peg the water temp at about 80. Fill it only about an inch or two, so the snake can rest and breath without having to swim to do so. Then just lower him in slowly. He may poo for you (yay! cleanup!) as the warmish water loosens things up. Afterwards, just pick him up and handle him dry. I never used a towel to dry, just natural absorbtion and evaporation. He shouldn't attack you, though. I guess if he does then that mean he doesn't like to soak!
Remember, most balls aren't big soakers and only do so when they have mites or the humidity is way low.

Why do you think your bp is going to attack you? Has it bit you yet?

I've never had the need to bathe our BPs, but as everyone said, unless the humidity isn't high enough, it's had a bad shed, or you have mites, shouldn't really have to.

Sometimes i actually do bathe my bp's esp if they have gone to the bathroom and i havent been able to get to it immediately, or if they have crawled thru the poo. Prolly not necessary, but i do it anyway.
