BP won't go into either of his hides
Hi, I'm new so sorry if this question has been asked before but I couldn't find anything. My BP Frost recently won't go into either of his hides. He has one on the warm side of his tank & one on the cooler side. The ambient temp on the cool side is about 80 & on the warm side, I have a UTH under that hide. It has a dimmer to control the temp (after I first got the UTH it was getting too hot & frost started not going in there) & the probe of the digital thermometer says the top of the substrate is about 92 (it feels a little cool to my hand so I wonder if frost feels the heat at all but humans run around 98 so maybe it's just cold to me). I put frost back in the warm one to show him that it's not too hot anymore, but now he won't go into either box. Why won't he go into his hides? The temps seem ok & there isn't poo or that white stuff in either of them. I just want him to be happy.
Re: BP won't go into either of his hides
Also, I know the temp of the glass is warmer than what the substrate is. If frost does go in his warm hide & sits there for a while, will his body take in more heat from the UTH & get hotter than what the thermometer says?
