Vans 'Snake Authentic' Shoes Real or Fake Snakeskin?

I'm still confused as to whether the name 'Snake Authentic' means that they're made of real snake-skin, or if the usage of the words "snakeskin print" are hinting that no, it isn't real snake-skin but, well, ink print.
Now for starters, I love Vans' shoes. They're the bomb these days, and if you're a cool kid, you're either rollin' with these or Jordans. (Or whatever basketball shoes the ghetto kids at school have these days. I prefer skate shoes so I wouldn't know.) I'm looking into getting new shoes (my previous pair have reached their expiration date a little early, if you know what I mean) and I've come across these. I love Vans; I love the way these look, plus if it's fake, I have one extra way of sporting my snake love. (provided a gullible someone doesn't interpret it as promoting actual snake skinning)
However, for obvious reasons, I wouldn't wear any snake skin that is hunted and exported out of anywhere. It's against my morals to kill any animal just so you can look pretty - especially my favorite animals. It isn't conservational either.
So, before I make any purchases, I'm wanting to know if a reticulated python died to cover my feat or if it's just ink I'm wearing. Nobody make any quick assumptions either- we're talking about a high school teen and shoes here so this is some srs bsns. ಠ_ಠ

I'm about 95% certain they're fake. For one, they just don't have the texture (from what I can tell from the pics). Also, you know they'd charge a heck of a lot more if they were real! And if you read the reviews, someone said they wished it felt like snakeskin. So I'm guessing it's just a print.

It is textured print. I've seen these shoes at Zumies...

Lol!!! I love Vans. I have my signature gray pair. They match everything.

Just like the ones I destroyed in a year with asphalt, mud, field herping, and reckless shananigans. :D

Definitely fake, if you did one kick flip, ollie, 180 flip, anything with hard movement that requires a flick with your lead foot in skating..... These wouldn't make it thru a weekend of skating.

Dang it, looks like they don't have the gold one in size 12 :mad:
