    Bad News All...
As some of you may know I recently purchased a piebald ball python from a local shop. Some of you might know the issues that I ran into with the first one that I got and now I have some bad news... The second one that I was given by the shop passed away last night... He is officially gone. I am very confused.... I gave him no different treatment than the rest of my animals and none the less two weeks later he is gone... I am truly kicking myself right now and I have no idea what happened to the little guy. I've been keeping a close eye on him and all seemed fine but he is gone now... And I am just heartbroken :(... He was kept in 85 degrees on paper towels with plenty of water and he is just dead... I feel terrible >.<

I don't know the issue you had with your first snake. But it sounds like that petstore just carries unhealthy animals?

I'm sorry for your loss. :(

I was concerned about him because he was bleeding anally.... I have heard that it can be something that happens during shed but I was concerned and took the little guy back... I got another one and then this happens....

85 degrees is a bit too cool. What substrate was the pet shop keeping him on? Maybe he ingested something while eating (at the pet shop)?

He was on paper towels his entire run to be honest.... I keep my guys on paper towels for the simplicity.

a hatchling at 85 is fine. that didn't kill your snake. having a few spots of blood right after a shed is normal, continue bleeding from the vent isn't.
