My recommendation on aspen bedding
:gj:
This stuff if great, called "Harlan Teklad" but I believe it's sold as Native Earth. Great stuff, clumps together nicely, and I think it looks great. This HUGE bag was only 10$ I had to order offline so shipping was about 12, but with this huge bag I won't need aspen for a while. Haha

Oh and one more thing. when it's feeding day, I kid you not, it's like my Mojave girl throws a temper tantrum and flips her hides over because she hasn't been fed yet

Yea they sell it at shows as well, like the local Baton Rouge Repticon and it lasts awhile which is always a plus. That aspen snake bedding from petsmart and all that just isn't worth the price they sell it for. I mean $10 for an 8 qt bag?
Exactly, I like that aspen but it's just too dang much! That's why I love this stuff, it's really nice and at a great price.

Good thread/find/announcement. Thanks for posting it up. :gj:
The stuff I get is 2.0 cubic feet for $10-$14. I get aspen from the rodent section in pet stores; you get more for the money.

I get that same bag from my local feed store. They keep it out in the warehouse with the hay and stuff and I always have to go to the counter and ask for it but it's only $18 after tax. My local pet store sells it too but they charge $30 so I go to the feed store. So if you have a local feed store maybe check and see if they carry it.
