    Shed
Recently my adult female normal has been shedding every 8-10 days. Is this ok? Has anyone ever expirienced this before?

I usually feed her medium rats weekly. I started feeding her 2 medium rats about 3 weeks ago to get her weight up a bit more for breeding. I feed her 2 rats a week last year before breeding aswell but she was shedding monthly

Weird. I've had girls on heavier than normal feed schedules and never had them shed that close together. I don't know??? :confusd:

Do you monitor her weight? If so, has she been gaining a lot of weight lately?

Yea, even feeding on that shouldn't do that. I mean the shedding process itself takes about that so that would have to put her in shed immediately after another shed.

@OP - Do you mean when she shed's it normally takes that long from start to finish?

How long has she been doing this? And has anything changed as far as feeding/housing/drastic temp changes/etc. I'm not sure if it may be something from an outside influence or something biological going on with her. :confusd: Hopefully some veterans will chime in that have heard of this before...

No she sheds right away. I recently started marking down when she sheds. She shedded on 9/13 then shed again on 9/23 and she has blue eyes now
