    Substrate for Hog Island Boa
    I'm curious what substrate do you recommend using for Hogs? She is in Animal Plastic T-8 cage. Thanks.

    Not very fond of newspaper but aspen shavings will do. I think coconut is out of question because it brings too much humidity?

    Also, I am curious - based on experience - what temps do you keep your cage at? Would you say 88 hot spot and 80 cool spot is optimal?

    Aspen would work fine. Cypress mulch is another good option.
