Animal Plastics or NW Constrictors Cage
Basically I fly back from Ireland tomorrow and got all the metal in to build my new enclosure stand, and want to start the build. The only thing I dont have planned is which enclosures to go with. I have narrowed it down to AP or NW and want to hear your opinons, pros, and cons. Thanks!

Both are absolutely fantastic companies from what ive heard. I believe NW constrictors uses a higher grade of plastic though. PM Evenstar, shes ranted and raved about NW constrictors before, she'll know.

    Well I'll be getting both.

NW for my Chondros and Animal Plastics for my carpets.

I like the look of AP cages better(especially with the shelf, I think the NW cages look awkward with the shelves) but I like the fact that HDPE is nearly stainless.

thanks for the input guys...anyone else have experience with the cages? I guess the main thing that has me going back and forth is the fact that AP offers sliding glass doors, while NW has a fold out Acrylic door. I'm wondering how the hinged door holds up as well as how easily it scratches.

The Acrylic door would deter me. That stuff scratches way too easy.

I have experience with animal plastics. Great cages. Very durable and goof for maintaining constant conditions. Also a fan of the sliding doors.

I have a NW cage, and I love it. I haven't used it long, so I haven't scratched it yet, but from all my friends who use them, it hasn't been an issue. I don't like sliding doors, personally, and the flip down door works great for me.

I'll probably go with NW and the flip down door, I feel like my dumerils would be a hassle to get out with sliding doors, she likes to grab whatever she can and I feel like it would be a lot of work getting her out of sliding doors.

I love animal plastic products so they would have my vote, something else you might want to consider is C-Serpent cages which offer sliding doors and radiant heat panel which I love for cages. :gj:

Of course it all depends on what you want to put in it.

Still working on the size cages I want, but one is for an adult corn, one for a BP, one for a KSB, and last for a childrens python. My vision has glass sliders and I love them, however sometimes my BP does like to grab the doors when I try to pull him out for cleaning...
