After a female has laid eggs how long are you supposed to wait to put a male back in? I know breeding puts a lot of strees on them, but after they regain a sufficient amount of weight, out in the wild are they back in service? How long do any of you wait before you put a male back in (after the incubator has started cooking the eggs). I wish to know because my female is above the weight she was before I started breeding her, and BTW her seven eggs hatched 2 spiders and 5 normals.

I breed females once a year.
Mine laid back in April, I'll start pairing them up again the first week in November,
depending on her weight, age, overall health and how well she recovered from the last clutch.
I have and will give a female a season off if I feel she needs it.

    good luck

Congrats on the clutch! I always wait until the female has gained at least all of her pre-lay weight back. I like to see at minimum, a few hundred grams on top of what she weighed in at the year prior, before becoming gravid.
