which are you more comfortable with?
Hi. For some odd reason, since I've started keeping snakes, I've had opportunities to hold larger snakes, and instead of feeling any nervousness, I've only felt excitement, however, I have felt nervous holding a lot of smaller snakes. For some reason, I've always been more comfortable with large & medium sized snakes (medium is 6'-10', IMO). How about you guys? Which are you more comfortable with?

I know a lot of people that way. Me, I'm not nervous either way at this point.

    I'm never nervous of anything.

Now my mom on the other hand prefers colorful snakes over plain looking snakes. She likes my ball pythons because of the morphs but doesn't like my beaked snakes because they're plain brown. I think some of it has to do with the fact that they're small as well if I recall correctly.

On the other hand she loved my Yellow Anaconda I had.

Nice! Do you have a preference?

I don't feel nervous around small snakes anymore, but I did!

I generally prefer small, delicate snakes. I think they tend to be more interesting, imo. I'm actually getting away from heavy-bodied snakes.

I'm the exact opposite! I will most definitely keep my small snakes, and I'll get a few more, but I'm definitely loving the big ones.

I like larger snakes, but boas being ideal. They are just what I am accustomed to. First snake I held at five years old. I think small snakes are adorable but I like how slow moving and muscular boas are.

I love that me and Duma can sit on the couch and she can't wonder off and get lost anywhere! If you check out the other forum we're on, I talked about that a little bit.

Bigger snakes are hard to lose.

I'll tell you a funny story.

I took one of my larger Rufous Beaked's out and I forgot to lock the front of the exo terra back and while I was in another room my little one must of pushed the glass door open and fell/crawled out. Well I put my bigger one back not having any idea the little one was out and about. I was walking to leave and when I stepped out of my room into the kitchen he was right there. It royally freaked me the flip out.

For me it just depends on the individual snake and their tempermant. I was at LLL last week and they had a baby carpet that I wanted to hold, but as soon as I went near the tank it went into rapid fire strike mode so I passed. My wife on the otherhand likes slow moving snakes...she will hold an adult BP no problem, but hates holding my corn because "he wont sit still"
